A12 Cuton Lakes Fishery Information
Situated in an attractive spot close to the main A12 road in Essex is A12 Cuton Lakes Fishery.
With 3 lakes to choose from this established fishery is a popular one with anglers keen on specimen fishing.
Originally fed by the River Chelmer it is now an established fishery that offers memberships and day tickets. Night fishing is available by appointment.
The lakes are called Specimen 1 Lake, Specimen 2 Lake, and Island Lake. The main fish are carp with tench and bream also present.
Visitors to all lakes must report to The Cabin before taking up position at their allotted swim. The Cabin sells bait and refreshments as well as gas for lighters and other essentials.
What size do the fish go to?
A12 Cuton Lakes is highly-regarded for its prime specimen fish.
Lake 1 is known to hold several hundred mirror and common carp. There is at least one known fish of more than 40lbs. Over 200 carp between 20 to 30lbs are known to be in Lake 1. This lake is open to members only.
Lake 2 holds more than 400 carp up to 34lbs, and tench reaching in excess of 8lb. Lake 2 is open to day ticket holders.
Island Lake holds carp up to 18lb, tench and bream around 8lb, plus roach and perch. Island Lake is open to ticket holders.
What facilities are on site?
The Cabin is the onsite shop and ticket at office at A12 Cuton Lakes and sells a variety of tackle, bait, refreshments and essentials. All visitors must report to The Cabin on arrival.
