Fishery Information
The Aldecar Lane Fishery is a relatively new fishing site found in the middle of Nottinghamshire, not far from Aldecar. Locals in the region may be familiar with the proprietor, Pete “Thecko” Thexton, because he once owned Mill Tackle in Langley Mill.
Aldecar Lane Fishery is the perfect location to take a young angler or someone who is just starting out. Fish are available throughout the year and can be caught using a variety of techniques. Caution is advised during the winter months because the banks are quite slippery. There are a total of six lakes: The Folly Lake, The Railway Lake, The Acorn Lake, The Snipe Lake, The Bridge, and The Copse.
Bream, Carp, Rudd, Tench, and Chub are some of the primary species caught at the site, most popular for its Carp/Specimen, Coarse, and Match fishing opportunities.
