Aldin Grange Fishery Information
Aldin Grange is a charming fishery set in the heart of the Durham countryside. The fishery comprises 5 lakes, three are dedicated to coarse fishing and the remaining two are fly only. the coarse lakes house multiple species including; Carp, Tench, Perch, Roach, Rudd, and Bream. You’ll also encounter the occasional Chub and even Barbel! Night fishing is not permitted at the venue, opening hours are from 7am until 9pm during the summer.
There are several regulations that must be adhered to when fishing. The entire venue has a barbless hook policy, and for coarse fishermen, ground bait must be delivered in a cup or a feeder. Boilies are forbidden, as are bloodworm and joker.
The venue is very well tended with allocated and well-maintained pegs.
What size do the fish go to in Aldin Grange Fishery?
While it is stated that there are carp in the lakes of greater than 20lb this is a rarity. However, there are numerous examples of anglers regularly catching carp up to 12lb.
This is a trout master water, as a result, there are many double-figure trout stocked in the fly fishing lakes.
What tactics work well?
Anglers may be a little limited as to the tactics they pursue. Each angler is limited to half a kilo of ground bait and surface fishing is also prohibited.
Maggot and pellet work well on any method.

Ample car parking is available for the day, at no extra cost
