Fishery Information
A Local Nature Reserve since 1996 Anton Lakes is located to the north of the Andover town center. After having gravel extracted from it in the past, the reserve now contains a diverse assortment of habitats.
The River Anton, which feeds the lake originates from springs located within the reserve and then flows out through several historic watercress beds. These beds provide a habitat for the locally rare long-stalked yellow sedge.
After that, the river empties into the lakes, which are also home to a wide range of bird species, and plenty of Carp, crucian carp, and pike.
