Fishery Information
This member-only water is known as the largest expanse of water on the association’s book. It is popular for bream fishing but is also stocked with quality carp, perch, pike, roach and tench. Livebaiting and artificial lures and spinners are not allowed on this fishery.
Night fishing is prohibited on most of this water but with a night permit, it is allowed on the lagoons of the west of the River Erewash. Membership books should always be carried when exploring the site and a key is required for some access points.
To get there, take the A52 towards Nottingham from M1 junction 25. At the next roundabout, turn right into the B6003 Toton Lane and continue down the hill and through a set of traffic lights. At the next set of lights, turn left onto the A6005 then continue along this road to the next set of traffic lights where there is a retail park on the right side. Turn right into Barton Lane. Go straight on the roundabout and continue over the railway crossing. The Attenborough Nature Centre car park is at the bottom of this road on the left.
To get to the water to the west of the River Erewash, follow these directions. From the B6003 Toton Lane, turn right at the traffic lights onto the A6005. Continue for 500 yards and then turn left into Station Road. Continue along Station Road and under a railway bridge, take a second left after the bridge into New Tythe Street. Next, continue straight on into Meadow Lane. Over the railway crossing, after 200 yards, bear right into Pasture Lane. Continue for 600 yards to the access gate on the left. Another access gate can be found after another 700 yards on the left at the bottom of Pasture Lane.

Is parking available?
There are is a car park in Attenborough Nature Center and also in Attenborough Village. To get to the Attenborough Village car park, continue along the A6005 from the retail park straight on at the next traffic lights. Turn right at the next lights into Attenborough Lane. Continue down Attenborough Lane and over the railway and round a sharp right and then left bend into The Strand. At the next left hand bend, the entrance to the car park is in front of you.
