Fishery Information
Located in Grimsby, Northeast Lincolnshire, Aylesby Lake is a peaceful setting that offers excellent fishing to the keen carp angler. The water spans approximately two acres and hosts numerous fishing features, such as reeds and overhanging trees.
The mature trees surrounding the lake give a sense of privacy to fishermen as well as offering shelter from the elements. Additionally, there are many spacious swims, several of which are fully accessible to the disabled and elderly angler. Furthermore, the waters are home to a number of fish species, such as Bream, Tench, Roach, Rudd and Carp.
The location is open to members and day ticket angler, with membership running from April to April each year and day passes costing £6
What size do the fish go to?
Tench, Perch, Bream, Roach and Road generally weigh between 2 and 8lbs. Carp are commonly landed in double figures, with the largest fish reaching 20lbs.
What tactics work well?
Anglers will often utilise pellets and boilies during the warmer months. Additionally, luncheon meat, worms and sweetcorn have all proven to be a popular choice of baits.
