Fishery Information
There’s not that much we could find about Bag End Cottage. It’s almost as if the fishery is secondary to the cottage and we are not sure if it’s currently still open.
However, the cottage on site sleeps up to 5 people and is situated on a small working farm.
On-site, there are 2 private ponds which are both small but the good news is the fishing is for residents only. With it being just 1 cottage this means it’s never going to be overfished and you are going to have the lake all to yourself.
There’s also no extra charge to fish these lakes.
The lakes are stocked with carp, tench and roach.
If the lakes on site are not your thing then there’s a reservoir just half a mile down the road.
What size do the fish go to?
Its not known what size the fish go to.
What tactics work well?
We recommend starting with maggots. As the lakes are not fished that often the fish could either be a bit shy or it could go the other way and they could be hungry for anything you put in.
