Fishery Information
Set in a stunning countryside location near Garstang, Lancashire, Banton’s Lake offers a fantastic day’s sport for the dedicated Angler. The waters are extremely clear, and there is a half-acre Island set in the middle of them. Furthermore, the lake offers a variety of other fishing features such as long reeds and mature trees.
There are a wide selection of pegs to chose from, and the waters are home to a healthy number of Perch, bream, Roach, Barbel and Carp. Banton’s lake has become notorious among the Lancashire fishing community because of its exceptionally large Carp.
What size do the fish go to?
Perch, bream, Tench and Roach tend to weigh between 2-7lbs. Carp are frequently caught in double figures and the current record stands at well over 36lbs.
What tactics work well?
Using a feeder with worms or sweetcorn can be extremely effective. Also, during the summer months anglers may want to consider utilising pellets and boilies.
What facilities are on site?
Clean and accessible toilet facilities are open to visitors.
