Barden Park Lake Information
Spanning 25 acres, Barden Park Lake is a large mixed fishery providing efficient fishing for both the beginner and more dedicated angler. Enormous quantities of Carp are readily available, as well as Specimen Tench and Bream. For the more seasoned angler, catches of large Roach, Rudd, Perk and Pike have also been reported.
Day tickets can be purchased from the park gate at opening time up until one hour before the park gate closing time.
What size do the fish go to?
The average size of Carp ranges between 20 lbs and 30 lbs, with the occasional 40 lbs being reported. Nets of Bream and Tench have often been taken in at over 100lb.
What tactics work well?
Using the feeder with sweetcorn or worms has proven to be effective for Bream and Carp. Using pellets and boilies during the warmer months has also led to more successful results.
