Fishery Information
Beckerings Farm Reservoir is controlled by Luton AC and has been since 1987 and is 5 acres in size. Since they took over the reservoir the fishing club has introduced pretty much all the stock that’s in there.
There are some big fish in here but it can be hard fishing. Carp go up to a record 35lb, big bream to 9lb, tench to 8lb and rudd to 3lb. If it’s predators you are after then there are also some big pike into the mid ’20s. In 2018 the reservoir was also stocked with some barbel, ide and chub.
The biggest catfish in the lake is 60lb, but that was in 2019 so it’s likely to be even bigger now.
What’s nice about this lake is that despite it being 5 acres in size it has actually only got 27 fishing platforms which means everyone is spread out and separated by trees.
Due to it being a reservoir the water level can drop quite a bit at times. Back in 1998 the water level fell by 5 feet but this doesn’t seem to affect the fishing.
