Located in the pretty village of Tolshunt D’Arcy in Essex is Beckingham Hall Fishery. An open farm reservoir of around four acres it is known for challenging yet enjoyable fishing.
Easy to find despite the village location the fishery is well-signposted from the approaching roads.
A one lake fishery, Beckingham Hall Fishery nevertheless offers plenty of variety for anglers of all experience levels.
The lake is well-stocked and kept and offers an opportunity to land good-sized common and mirror carp with many weighing greater than 20lbs.
Also in the lake are plentiful bream, roach and tench each of which presents a challenge to land.
While facilities are meagre this popular fishery does offer night fishing by arrangement.
The lake is open for fishing with a day ticket from 5am to 10pm.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp in excess of 20lb are not unusual at Beckingham Hall Fishery. Expect to catch bream and roach at 3lb and above as well as tench of a similar size.
