Fishery Information
Situated in Leicester, Bennion Pools Fishing Lakes offers a prime location for the keen Carp angler. The site comprises of 2 pools, both of which host a variety of fishing features as well as spacious fishing platforms. Furthermore, many of the platforms are fully accessible to the elderly and disabled angler.
The waters are home to a number of fish species, including Perch, bream, Tench, Roach and Carp. Day tickets start from £4 (2 rods), with discounts offered to OAP’s, juniors and the disabled. Fishery management ask that visitors take special care not to litter, as the location is home to an abundance of different wildlife.
What size do the fish go to?
Perch, Bream, Tench and Roach tend to weigh between 2-8lbs. Carp are frequently landed in double figures, with the larger fish often exceeding 20lbs.
What tactics work well?
Using a feeder with sweetcorn or worms can be extremely helpful in enticing larger Carp. Also, during the warmer months, anglers should consider utilising pellets and boilies.
What facilities are on site?
There are a number of picnic tables as well as wooded walking areas, making Bennion Pools an ideal spot for the family outing. Moreover, clean and accessible toilet facilities are open to visitors.
