Set in the Essex countryside, Berners Hall Fishery comprises 3 lakes, one of which is a large 24-acre reservoir and the other 2 are newly created carp lakes. Pre-booking is required to fish all lakes on site.
The main reservoir is home to carp to 44 lbs. There are also catfish in this water that are over the 70-lb mark. This water has been regularly stocked since 2006. Bottom baits, pop-ups, zigs and surface fishing work well on this water.
The Meadow Lake is home to carp to over 30 lbs. It has 5 purpose-built woodchipped swims that are positioned along one bank with plenty of water, features and opposite bank fishing available. Fishing to the far margin or mid water on zigs works well here.
The Poultons Lake is also home to 30-lb carp. There are 2 swims on the lake, both of which are available for exclusive hire only. Float fishing is among the popular methods used here.
