Fishery Information
Known as a fly fishing site, Bessy Beck Trout Fishery is well-stocked with triploid blue and rainbow trout. This venue provides excellent fly fishing experience to anglers of all ages and ability levels in a beautiful Cumbrian setting.
The lakes in this idyllic fishery have been established for many years and are suitable for any form of fly fishing. On the Heron Lake, you can come along, hire the tackle and catch your own trout for dinner. It’s all catch and kill on this lake. On the other hand, the Mallard Lake is suitable for fly fishers that are just starting out. The Island Lake, which is suitable for experienced fly fishers, is home to trout to 15 lbs..
The fly fishing ponds on this venue can accommodate up to 30 anglers at one time. They also request anglers to move positions at regular intervals to give every one the fair chance at hot spots.
