Fishery Information
Located in the beautiful Cumbria countryside, Bigland Trout Fishery is a clear shallow water that comprises two 17-acre rain-fed natural lakes with surrounding hills and forest. Controlled by the Windermere, Ambleside & District Angling Association, this water is home to rainbow trout to 2 lbs and a good mix of blues and larger fish to 8 lbs.
Memberships and day tickets are available for this fishery. Fishing is allowed form 8am until sunset. Night fishing is not permitted.

What tactics work well?
Good natural fly life all year round. Recommended flies include Black Buzzers, Damsel, Montana, Fritz, Cat’s Whisker and Sedge.
