Fishery Information
The Birds Green Fishing Lakes can be found in the natural retreat that is the River Roding valley. With only one road nearby, the fishery will certainly be quiet enough for all types of fish to lure in and for all anglers to enjoy their time there.
With a total of three lakes, the fishery has enough space for multiple anglers. The Top Lake designed for specimen Carp fishing and has a surface of almost 2 acres, while the Bottom Lake is known as a mixed fishery. Last but not least, the 3rd lake is designed as a Match fishery, perfect for those that want to brag with big bags of fish.
At the same time, the Birds Green Fishing Lakes seem to have everything an angler might need on their day out on the lake – namely a café, an on-site tackle shop, as well as several other facilities.
However, it goes without saying that the lake stock is the most important feature. In this fishery, anglers will be able to catch Carp, Crucian Carp, specimen Roach, Tench, Perch, and Rudd.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp weighs up to 20lbs.
Specimen Carp lake has fish up to 30lbs.
Tench of up to 5lbs/9lbs (depending on lake).
Roach over 3lbs.
Perch over 4lbs.
What tactics work well?
For specimen Carp fishing, frozen boilies, maggots, corn, and meat are recommended. Anglers could give method feeders and zig rigs a shot as well.
On the bottom lake, traditional baits and methods are recommended – such as worms, maggots, and oily pellets.
