If you are looking for a peaceful coarse fishing venue set in the beautiful Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Birkdale Farm Fishery is the best choice for you. This fishery comprises of 3 lakes that can accommodate up to 80 anglers.
Covering 4 acres, the main lake is the largest lake on the venue. The smaller ones include a family lake and a mixed lake. The depths of the waters vary with the deepest one dropping down to over 10 feet. Open all year round, each lake features islands to fish.
Fish species present in the waters include carp to 22 lbs, tench, roach, bream, rudd, barbel and trout.

Carp go up to 22 lbs.
What tactics work well?
Good fish are taken on floating baits such as crust or chum mixers during late spring and early summer. Tench, which can be found next to a feature such as reeds or marginal shelves, respond well to worm, flavoured corn, maggot and caster.
