Established in 1996, Birkwood Fisheries is a family run business that offer excellent fishing experience in a safe, clean and welcoming venue. Boasting 5 lakes with river and canal fishing, this fishery is situated in the rural urban fringe close to Leeds and Wakefield. Nearby towns include Huddersfield, Mirfield, York, Doncaster and Sheffield. If you are looking to fish on a spot that is easily accessible from all parts of Yorkshire, Birkwood Fisheries is your best bet.
All 5 lakes on site are home to a great variety of fish including carp to 28 lbs, roach, rudd, tench, perch, bream and F1 carp. There are over 100 fishing stations at Birkwood Fisheries and the fishing platforms are well-spaced. Cars can be parked behind the pegs at most times of the year. There is also plenty of car parking available within a few yards of each lake.

What tactics work well?
Pole fishing, pellet waggler fishing and method or feeder tactics work well here. Popular baits include chopped worms, corn, maggots, casters and pinkie baits.
