Fishery Information
Located in the Oxfordshire countryside, Bishops Bowl Fishery is a substantial 90-acre facility that offers a phenomenal day’s sport to keen Carp anglers. The site is a former limestone quarry which is classified as an area of scientific interest as well as a fishery.
Furthermore, many improvements have been made to the facilities over the years, such as more swims as well an increase in fish stock. Crucially, several of the swims are fully accessible to disabled and elderly anglers.
As a result of constant improvements, Bishops Bowl Fishery now ranks as one of the top fisheries in the midlands.
What size do the fish go to?
There are a number of Bream, Roach, Rudd, and Tench which typically weigh between 3 and 8 lbs. Additionally, Carp are landed frequently in double figures, with larger specimen exceeding 20lbs.
What tactics work well?
Popular still water methods usually work well. Furthermore, utilising pellets and boilies during the warmer months is extremely beneficial. Also, worms, sweetcorn and cured meat are all popular choices of bait.
