Fishery Information
This fishery is run by Lincoln & District Angling Association.
Blue Lagoon is a small pond located within an urban environment, making it a convenient fishing spot for local anglers. The fish species frequently caught here include Tench, Roach, Rudd, and Perch. However, Crucian Carp, Bream, and Eel are more elusive and less commonly caught. The relatively shallow depth of the pond has resulted in naturally stunted Carp growth, but there are still a few reaching double figures. Anglers should be aware of “Peter,” a 15lb Pike known for taking silver fish when being reeled in.
What size do the fish go to?
Blue Lagoon offers a variety of fish sizes, with Tench, Roach, Rudd, and Perch being the most frequently caught species. There are also a few Carp that can reach double figures, although their growth has been stunted due to the shallow depth of the pond.
What tactics work well?
For anglers targeting Tench, Roach, Rudd, and Perch, traditional tactics using a pole or float fishing are likely to be effective. For elusive species like Crucian Carp, Bream, and Eel, anglers may need to employ more specific tactics and patience to have a chance of catching them.
What facilities are on site?
As an urban pond, Blue Lagoon may not have extensive facilities on site. Anglers are advised to bring their own fishing gear and equipment for a day of fishing at this location.
Is parking available?
Due to the pond’s location within an urban area with frequent commuter traffic and heavy-duty farm machinery passing through Farrington Crescent, anglers and their visitors are requested to park their vehicles within Rochester Drive. Keeping Farrington Crescent free from congestion respects the privacy and convenience of local residents whose properties back onto the venue.
