Fishery Information
A coarse fishery, the Bobby George Lakes are located in Colchester, East of England. Anglers can fish here with a valid daily permit or with a permit bought from the Angling Club.
The surface of the lake is of only 1.5 acres; however, the main attraction point is the surroundings. Everything there is surrounded by 12 acres of natural woodland, making for the perfect weekend retreat for anglers. In fact, the fishery can be booked by groups of a minimum of 20 people. They will enjoy full days of fishing, included breakfast, buffet, drinks, and so on.
When it comes to species, the main fish are Carp, Roach, Bream, Perch, Chub, Tench, and Rudd. Each fishing location is properly set up and features boats, as well as wooden platforms for better support of the angler.
Reportedly, the owner of the fishery can provide more than just a warm welcome, including life stories.
What size do the fish go to?
The first small lake comes with small Carp of up to 2lb, as well as Perch, Roach, and other small fishes.
The second lake has average-sized Carp, Skimmers, and Roach.
The third lake features average-sized Carp, as well as a couple of large Carp, of over 20lbs.
What tactics work well?
Carp fishing goes best with sweet corn, bread, and boilies bait.
Worms and casters for Tench, Chub, Perch, and Roach.
Bream, on the other hand, are keen on live prawns, mackerel, and overall fresh dead fish.
