Fishery Information
The Bog Grove is a rather sizeable fishery, ready to accommodate quite a crowd, to say the least. It features 16 stillwaters and a whopping 25 swims. It provides anglers with up to 14 miles of canal and river. Thanks to its middle-Essex location, the fishery can be reached in only half an hour from the M25.
When it comes to stock, it is mixed coarse – but it also includes Crucians, Carp, and Tench. Among the smaller types of fish, we also have Roach, Rudd, Chub, and Bream. Anglers can engage in night fishing as well, but they need a night permit to do so. Entry tickets can be purchased from Maldon Angling.
For a better fishing experience, the grove features several wooden platforms in key locations – one right in-between reeds.
Keep in mind that only members of the Maldon AS can fish here. The fishing waters are lined with trees, with not many roads nearby that could cause noise. Last but not least, the Bog Grove is very close to Great Totham.
