Fishery Information
The Bolam Lake Country Park is approximately nine miles to the west of Morpeth and is easily accessible from the A696 from Belsay. The park features a number of different forest and lake view trails, in addition to a walkway that goes completely around the lakefront and is accessible to everyone. Swans and other types of waterfowl make their home in this park, which features an ideal habitat for several species of flora and fauna.
A closed season applies to fishing on Bolam Lake; anglers cannot fish there between the 16th of June and the 14th of March. Bream, Perch, Pike, Roach, and Tench are among the fish stocked here. There is no fishing allowed at night, and you must fish from the bank at all times.
