Fishery Information
These three beautifully lined lakes in Chelmsford, Essex, are the perfect retreat for any type of angler who’s looking for a day away, in nature. A total of 10 acres of water is waiting for any type of angler, be them beginner or experienced. The main lake is 6 and a half acres.
The total number of swims available is 25, which is more than enough to accommodate all anglers present on the lakes, even on a crowded day – or night. Night fishing is allowed based on a permit. Due to the secluded location, noise and traffic won’t be a problem.
In terms of species, anglers can expect rather large Crap, Pike, large Bream, Perch, Tench, as well as large shoals of Roach and Rudd. Eels are also part of the menu. On top of that, double-figure Mirror Carp is also present, as well as Crucian Carp and larger Perch/Roach (up to 4lbs).
What size do the fish go to?
Carp weigh as much as 37lbs.
Pike up to 23lbs.
Perch of around 2lbs.
Bream of up to 12lbs.
Tench of around 6lbs.
What tactics work well?
Maximum 2 rods per angler.
For Carp, Pike, and larger fish, bread, boilies, Bloodworm, and sweet corn are recommended as bait.
For the smaller species, nightcrawlers, leeches, and minnows will do just fine.
What facilities are on site?
Members-only toilet on site.
Secure fishing behind locked gates.
Is parking available?
Small parking lot on site, in-between the lakes.
Roadside parking seems not available.
