Fishery Information
Bradley Pond is actually a former clay pit that’s 4 acres in size and can be found near the town of Bovey Tracey.
It is a very popular venue and matches are held here, but it’s also popular with the specimen anglers are carp go up to 28lb in size. What’s also unusual (in a good way) is that there’s some large trout to be caught, which is always a nice surprise.
Even if you are not catching fish, its still a great location to spend the day as the water is very quiet and relaxing and you can happily sit there and just watch the wildlife if you are not catching. Its a great place to get away from it all.

- Carp up to 28lb
- Tench to 10lb
- Perch to 5lb
- Roach to 2lb
What tactics work well?
Surface baits work well for the bigger fish.
Pole fishing or waggler fishing will produce great results with simple baits and tactics.
