Fishery Information
The Bransford Game Fisheries are comprised of three pools with depths up to 25 feet. This spot has views for days and is located in heart of Worcestershire, with the Teme Valley casting an impressive image.
Starting with the Island Pool, which is a catch-and-release spot, the Bransford Game Fisheries really does have something for everyone. The Island Pool is spring-fed, with plenty of angling adventure for all skill levels.
The Lodge Pool and the Walton Pool are derived from a reservoir featuring Malvern spring water.
The pools are stocked with Shasta rainbow trout from Bilbury Trout Farm. They will put up a fight. Those ready for a scrap will do well to check out the Bransford Game Fisheries and make a day of it.
What size do the fish go to?
The average weight of the tussling trout at Bransford Game Fisheries is nearly three pounds. The record catch is a whopping 18 pounds, four ounces.
The Lodge Pool and Walton Pool contain some brown trout. These clock in at between three and six pounds and must be put back in the water if caught.
What facilities are on site?
Food facilities are provided at Bransford. This includes complimentary tea and coffee. There is also a microwave, plus full restroom facilities.
All pools have wheelchair access using the casting platforms. There is also a disabled toilet in the office.
A fridge is available for storing catches.
Day tickets are available and are proportioned by the fish, with a separate rate for fishing the Island Pool because it is catch-and-release.
