Fishery Information
This fishery is run by Wellingborough & District Nene Angling Club.
The fishing complex at Ringstead Island is a designated SSSI site owned outright by our club. The site was purchased in 1993 and comprises of 2 large gravel pits in Barker’s lake and Brightwell’s lake, The River Nene and its back brook. The complex was renamed in summer 2018 as a tribute to the club’s late chairman of 48 years, Brian Crowhurst. The complex is kept secure by a locked main vehicle gate, and members require a key to gain access, which can be obtained for a small charge from our membership outlets.
