Fishery Information
Brick Farm is a beautiful trout fishery. It is set in the wonderful countryside of East Sussex. This family-run and friendly fly fishery offers fly fishing to beginners and experts alike. So, whether you’re trying fly fishing for the first time or you have caught loads on the fly, this is a must-fish site for everyone.
There are four lakes on this site, all of which are stocked nicely with brown, blue, golden and rainbow trout. While fishing is available here most of the year, there are also really fun special events like charity days and instructional classes too.
What size do the fish go to?
The current site record here is a 20lb brown trout. There has also been an 18lb 6oz rainbow trout caught as well. There are plenty of big fish in all of the lakes, though. So, there is a good chance these fish records could be broken at any time.
What tactics work well?
All of the lakes on this site are fly fishing only. The best fly to use greatly depends on the season and even the day you go. Flies will usually be recommended when you arrive.
If you are new to fly fishing, the staff may recommend you go on Stag Lake to start with. The fish in this lake are just as hard fighting as the rest, but it is the most open water, so it is the easiest to start on.
What facilities are on site?
There are fly fishing lessons available here. There are also toilet and refreshment facilities as well.
Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available next to the clubhouse.
