Fishery Information
The Chelmsford Angling Association is in charge of maintaining and operating the Broads Green, a ¾ lake located at Chelmsford, Essex. It is the perfect place to go fishing, as the setting is vibrant while still being inviting.
There are parts along the roadside bank where the water is up to 20 feet deep, and during the warmer months, the regions with trees that hang over the water help to generate an abundance of fish.
When you go fishing in the Broads Green, you never know what kinds of fish you will hook into because the Broads Green is home to a wide variety of different fish species. There is a significant population of both common carp and mirror carp, in addition to rudd, roach, and perch, which contribute to the popularity of this site.

Carp to 24 lbs, Roach to 1.5lb. and Perch to 2lb
What tactics work well?
Surface baits are effective and floating crust and dog biscuits are two of the most common tactics.
