Fishery Information
Managed by Crawley Angling Society, Buchan Parks Douster Lake is an established 8-acre estate lake with depths between 3 and 6 inches. This water is very silty in places and has loads of snags with deepish margins.
This venue is excellent for bream fishing. The biggest reported bream weighed over 8 lbs.. Carp fishing is not easy on this water but could be very rewarding because it is home to carp over 40 lbs.. Other species present include mirror carp to over 30 lbs., pike to 30 lbs., tench, roach, rudd, perch, crucian carp and sunfish.
There is a limit of 2 rods per angler for this fishery. Night fishing is available on set nights. Day tickets are also available on site.

Carp go up to 40 lbs., bream to 8 lbs. and mirror carp to over 30 lbs..
What tactics work well?
Boilies work well for the carp fished to snags, and the margins are a great but in warmer months. In the colder months, the fish hold up in the deeper water, but can be tempted with bright pop-ups usually. The lake is also very silty and light leads and very strong tackle is a must.
