Fishery Information
The Faversham Angling Club was established in 1950, and it currently possesses ownership rights to four lakes and fishing rights to one more. These are the lakes:
A mature twelve-acre spring-fed gravel pit known as School Pool can be found just outside of Faversham off the Oare Road. Roach, Rudd, Tench, Bream, Perch, Eels, Pike, and Carp are some of the species that can be caught in this coarse fishery. There is a variety of underwater features to explore at depths ranging from three to ten feet.
Bysingwood Lake is a gravel pit that spans six acres and is located off Bysingwood Road to the west of Faversham. The catch consists primarily of carp, although there are also plentiful numbers of tench, bream, roach, rudd, and pike. The depths range from three to six feet.
Two small lakes known as Bracher Pools and Oare combine to cover around two to three acres of water. Carp, Roach, Rudd, Tench, Bream, Perch, Gudgeon, and Crucian Carp are all present in the larger original pool. One pool boasts depths of up to 8 or 9 feet with a robust weed growth.
The other had depths that range from three to four metres on average. Rudd, Tench, Bream, Small Chub, Perch, and Crucian Carp may be found inside the pools. Members of the FAC are the only ones who can access these lakes.
Willow Pool is a recently built lake that is roughly 1.5 acres in size and can be found on the grounds of the School Pool. The depth of the lake ranges from 6 to 8 feet deep in some parts, with an average depth of 4 to 6 feet. The lake has been supplied with a variety of fish including Roach, Tench, Skimmer Bream, few Barbel, and small Mirror, Common, F1, and Ghost Carp.
