Fishery Information
The 3-acre fishery is known best as being a carp fishery. Here, anglers can enjoy capture of 10 to 38lbs. The most common species are roach, Rudd, perch, and small pike. Good news for anglers is the removal of small carp – only large specimens have remained in the fishery.
This particular location is ideal for beginners, juniors, or those seeking action. Night fishing is also available, but requires a valid permit. In terms of depths, they average at 9-10 feet
Cants Mere features plenty of fishing spots/pegs, with at least 5 on the smaller sides and with a total of 24 swims available. Roads and trails are all around the fishery itself, for easy access. The area is pretty much remote, with no chance of significant noise or heavy traffic.
What size do the fish go to?
Rudd and Perch of up to 1lb 8oz.
Perch weigh up to 2lb.
Small Pike of over 13lbs is also present.
Carp of 18 to 23lbs.
What tactics work well?
Buzzbait paired with bread, sweet corn, and boilies is ideal for catching carp during both daytime and night-time.
For carp, crayfish, trout-style nymphs, and woolly worm flies are recommended. Perch and Rudd, on the other hand, are best caught with Jiggly flies.

One toilet reportedly on site.
Is parking available?
Around 4 car parks around the fishery itself. Two in-between the lakes and two near the side of the larger one.
