Situated in Bradshaw, Greater Manchester, Church Garden Fishery is a quaint venue that offers great sport to both the novice and more seasoned angler. The waters boast a variety of fishing features, including reeds, pools and overhanging trees.

There are numerous spacious pegs on site, many of which are fully accessible to both the disabled and elderly angler. The shallower pegs closer to the main entrance tend to be very popular and produce very large bags during summer.

The fishery is regularly stocked with many different species, including Bream, Tench, Perch, Roach and Carp. The spot has become notorious among the local angling community because of the larger Carp that are on offer.

What size do the fish go to?

Tench, Bream, Roach and Perch tend to weigh between 2-8lbs. Carp are frequently landed in double figures, with larger fish even exceeding 30lbs.

What tactics work well?

Standard still water tactics tend to work well. Furthermore, using a feeder with worms or sweetcorn can be extremely helpful in enticing larger Carp. In the warmer months, anglers should consider utilising pellets and boilies.
