Fishery Information
A short distance from the pretty town of Lechlade-on Thames is Claydon Park Fishery. The 50-year old lake is what is known as ‘wet dug’ giving it unique features ideal for angling.
Claydon Park Fishery makes the most of a glorious setting the Cotswolds and provides more than ample fishing opportunities.
The lake is home to good-sized pike, bream, roach, tench and perch. A target for anglers are the small number – perhaps 10 – specimen carp also in the lake.
Highly regarded as an angler’s lake – one that is a challenge but a rewarding one – Claydon Park offers day tickets for visitors at sensible prices. Day tickets are valid from sunrise to sunset.
The facility also caters for those who wish to enjoy a weekend or longer break with the available 2-person lodge for hire. Residents of the Lodge have access to 3 private swims for the duration. Night fishing is also permitted for Lodge residents.
Barbed hooks, boilies and bait boats are banned, and dogs are not permitted on site.
What size do the fish go to?
Claydon Park lake is well-stocked with pike over 30lbs, tench and bream over 10lbs, and roach and perch to 3 3/4 pounds. The specimen carp are varied weights.
What facilities are on site?
Claydon Park Fishery has flushing toilets but no shower facilities. The Lodge is fully furnished a lounge, kitchenette and a sofa bed, has cold running water and solar electric lighting. It also features a barbeque and is in its own secluded spot fenced off from the general site.
Is parking available?
There is plenty of visitor parking at Claydon Park Fishery.
