Fishery Information
Clear Water Fisheries, located at Kellet Lane, in Borwick, Carnforth is a specimen carp fishery, on an 80-acre site. It features match, coarse, carp, and predator fishing across four mature gravel pits that are fenced to keep out otters. Day tickets are available for purchase.
The fishing pits were first made available to the public in 2016, and since then, they have been stocked with only proven heritage fish of the highest quality. Additionally, the staff takes great pride in providing each of their customers with a fishing experience that is both safe and memorable. The four are as follows:
Kellet Lake is an attractive gravel pit that spans 5.5 acres and contains approximately 180 carp sourced from some of the most reputable providers in the UK. The Lake venue that is packed with features, wide range of depths, as well as 10 comfortable pegs that are well-spaced and spread out.
The 5-acre body of water known as Kents Bank has been renovated into a fishing spot with 12 pegs and stocked with the best fast-growing carp that is currently available. The most recent estimates place the number of stocked fish at approximately 250, with plenty of specimens weighing 20 pounds or more, catfish reaching 45 pounds, and a healthy number of good-quality pike reaching 20 pounds or more. On Kents Banks, there are 12 pegs, and each one is generously spaced from the next to offer plenty of water to target.
The newest lake on the complex, Scrape, was dug into the terrain behind Kents Bank. This lake is perfect for an action-packed day spent on the bank, as it features a number of different water features. The north bank of the lake features nine gravelled pegs, and the lake itself has been stocked with 250 carp weighing less than ten pounds each, 400 bream weighing more than eight pounds each, 100 tench weighing more than eight pounds each, and silvers.
The Penners Pool encompasses a quarter of an acre and can be found tucked away near Keer, Kents Bank, and Kellet Lake. It is stocked with 60 carp ranging in size from 12 to 25 pounds.
