Fishery Information
Situated in a stunning location near Burnley, Lancashire, Cliviger Ponds is an ideal spot for both the beginner and more seasoned angler. The site comprises of two ponds. The top pond is the larger of the two, with 25 swims available. Whereas the bottom pond is more private and offers 10 swims.
The venue is open all year round to both members and day ticker holders. However, night fishing is not permitted, and day ticket fishers are not allowed to use keepnets. Both stretches of water are home to a healthy stock of Carp, Perch, Roach, Bream and Barbel.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp tend to come in between 15-20lbs, with larger catches occasionally being recorded as high as 25lbs. Bream tend to weigh around 7lbs, and the ponds are also home to a decent quantity of well sized Perch.
What tactics work well?
Using a feeder with sweetcorn or worms has proven to be especially effective for catching the larger Carp.
What facilities are on site?
The site boasts a tackle and bait shop, where all of the latest gear can be purchased. Clean and accessible toilet facilities are also available on location.
