It is run by the National Trust, and located on the northern slopes of Cader Idris, 800 feet above sea level, with a view of the Mawddach Estuary. Anglers are able to fish from 8:00 a.m. to one hour after sunset.</p> <p>There are two natural lakes on the grounds of the establishment. The first is a big lake that covers 27 acres and has a little island in the middle. It solely contains wild brown trout.
