Fishery Information
Situated near Oldham, Lancashire, Crime lake is a stunning mixed fishery that provides great sport for both the beginner and more seasoned angler. The lake belongs to Limehursts Angling club, and boasts a healthy stock of Roach, Perch, Bream, Pike and Carp.
This setting has become extremely popular with the local community, as well as the keen fisherman. The wildlife, views and on-site facilities have made it an ideal location for the family outing. The venue is open all year round to both members and day ticket anglers.
What size do the fish go to?
The water contains a healthy quantity of Perch and Roach which range between 1-3lbs. Bream tend to come in at around 5 lbs but can reach into double figures. Those looking for bigger fish will not be disappointed, with Carp and Pike frequently hitting over 20lbs.
What tactics work well?
Using a feeder with sweetcorn or worms can be useful for catching Bream and Carp. Using pellets and boilies is also especially effective during the warmer months.
What facilities are on site?
There is a café on-site which sells a range of fresh food, plus a selection of hot and cold beverages. Clean and accessible toilet facilities are also available on site.
