Fishery Information

Managed by the County Council in partnership with Nottingham Wildlife Trust, Daneshill Lakes is a 16-hectare historic site dominated by three beautiful lakes. Located near the village of Ranskill, this reserve is situated on the north and south side of the minor road from Torworth to Lound, off the A638 north of Retford. If you like taking long walks, you would love the footpaths around it as they can be easily accessed by everyone. The circular trail around the main lake also allow easy access for everyone, including people with restricted mobility and pushchairs.

The site has a range of habitats which include open water, damp willow woodland, drier woodland and grassland. It also boasts a wide variety of flowering plants and birds. Carp and mixed coarse fish are present in this lake.

The site is not only huge, but also popular to people. It gets about 100,000 visitors per year.

Dogs are welcome here as long as they are kept on leash or under close control.

Day tickets are not available on site as fishing is only allowed with syndicate membership.
