Fishery Information
Danson Park lake offers a charming location for the angler who specialises in large Carp. Fishing operates on a day ticket basis, with accessible platforms spanning the entire water’s edge of the south bank.
Tickets are offered from the boat hire kiosk upon the production of a valid rod licence. The cost per day is £10 per adult and £5 for a concession. Pets are not permitted on location.
The site boasts a healthy stock of Large Carp, Roach, Bream and Chub.
What size do the fish go to?
Large Carp have been reported as weighing up to 38lbs, as well as common Bream coming in at an average of 8lbs.
What tactics work well?
Most fish can be caught by using legered luncheon meat. Utilising the feeder with worms and sweetcorn has also proven to be effective. In warmer months, anglers may wish to try pellets and boilies in order to entice the larger Carp.
