Fishery Information
Now operating as a booking-only fishery, the Darenth Fishing Complex is under new management.
The fishery is set in Darenth Valley on 44 acres in Kent, offering a site close to London and not far from several motorway connections. That makes it easy to get to, but still out of the way enough to provide escapism for anglers.
Darenth features a whopping 10 lakes for fishing of all skill levels and preferences.
Mason Lake is where the big boys hang out. Catfish are on tap here, as well as serious amounts of carp and bream.
Basil Lake is also great for catfish and carp fishing.
Gold Lake is designed for pleasure, with plenty of catfish, carp, bream, and perch.
Terrapin Lake is known as an intermediate spot, with loads of big catfish.
Paul’s Pond is a great float lake, a perfect location for beginners.
Steve’s Lake is absent the bream, but there are good-sized carp, catfish, rudd, tench, perch, and others in here.
Long Lake is the catfish capital of the Darenth Complex, so tread accordingly.
Club Pond is another great spot for beginners, complete with good amounts of roach, bream, and catfish.
Willow Pond is a beautiful spot, known for a variety of fish in a picturesque setting.
Finally, Chapel Lake is a general float spot.
What size do the fish go to?
Catfish in Mason Lake range up to 50 pounds and more, while the carp come in at an impressive 30 pounds.
The catfish in Terrapin Lake clock in up to over 60 pounds, while carp over 32 pounds have been hauled in.
Steve’s Lake boasts catfish over 65 pounds and carp ranging from 20 to 35 pounds.
Catfish in Long Lake have been known to come in over 100 pounds.
What facilities are on site?
Darenth Fishing Complex now offers bait and some cold drinks on premises.
