Darracott Reservoir is a 3-acre lake that can be found just outside of Torrington not far from the River Torridge and the coast. Its up to 27ft deep in places so take extra care around this venue.
It’s a great venue that is set in lovely surroundings and it’s the sort of place that an angler would want to spend the day around. If you are visiting this area on holiday then you should check it out.
It’s a really mixed fishery and contains large carp to 25lb, perch to 3lb, large feels, roach, and rudd. This means that there is something at this reservoir for everyone.
Matches are regularly held here, so please double-check that there are no matches on before you turn up. Nets of fish can be up to 40lb in weight.

What tactics work well?
Feeder fishing works well to catch bream. Fill your feeder full of groundbait and put maggots on the hooks. Waggler fishing will also produce good results.
