Elphicks Fishery Information
Located in Horsmonden, Kent, Elphicks Fisheries hosts 7 lakes that are available for both day ticket and session fishing. The facilities are designed to welcome novices, more seasoned anglers, and families embarking on a daily outing.
The North lake spans 6-acres and has 19 available swims. The space is open to members only and a maximum of 10 anglers may participate at any one time. The North Lake boasts a healthy stock of large Specimen Carp.
The Plantation is 1.3 acres and has 8 available swims. The space allows for a maximum of four anglers at any one time. Juniors are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The Prairie is a 3-acre specimen Carp water with 14 available swims. The space is open day and night, however only members are permitted.
Sandwich is a 1.5 acre well stocked Carp lake. Only 10 anglers are permitted at any one time.
Kettles spans 2.5 acres and offers 30 swims. The lake is well stocked with Common and Mirror Carp plus a healthy quantity of Tench and Perch.
Pullens is a 3-acre, 8 swim lake, that is suitable only for the serious specimen Carp angler. Despite being a little trickier to come by, Pullens fish are extremely heavy and can put up a serious fight. Only members are permitted and a maximum of 5 anglers can participate at any one time.
West end is a 3-acre, 8 swim lake that is again only for the more seasoned Carp angler. The space is for members only and a maximum of 5 anglers may participate at any one time.
What size do the fish go to?
The Pullens and West end lakes produce Large Carp and Pullens over 50ls. Carp in the other areas of waters hit an average of range of 25-35lbs. In Kettles, Tench and Perch can be landed with an average weight of 9lbs.
What tactics work well?
Using the feeder with sweetcorn or worms often yields good results for large Carp. In the warmer months, anglers have also found that using pellets and boilies has proven to be particularly effective.
What facilities are on site?
The fishery lodge offers a range of snacks and drinks as well as selling a variety of the latest baits and tackle. Clean toilet facilities are available with comprehensive disabled access.
