Fishery Information
Falkenvil Fishery is in Hailsham, and there are four lakes on this complex. Z Lake, Main Lake, Specimen Lake and Racetrack. This is a day ticket venue, the gates open at 6am, and you can head to your peg, set up, and the bailiff will be round to collect your money as you fish. There is plenty of awesome fish to catch at this venue too, so it is well worth the early wake-up time to get a good swim on your chosen lake.
What size do the fish go to?
The common carp at this fishery go to 30lbs; there are also mirror carp closing in on 30lbs as well. Grass carp can also be had in this venue up to 28lbs. There is barbel to 7lbs, and catfish to 48lbs. There are also some large tench and bream and some good-sized perch, roach and rudd too. However, these species aren’t heavily fished for, so no one knows how big they can grow at this venue.
What tactics work well?
Most of the lakes at this venue have good features to fish to, like islands or overhangs, for example. The key at Falkenvil is to stand out from the crowd. This can be a busy fishery, so using bright baits or high-attract liquids can give you an edge.
