Fishery Information
Fall Birch Lodge Coarse Fishery is located on a quiet farm estate and spans approximately 1 acre. The lodge is home to a diverse coarse fishery known for its hard fighting fully Scaled Mirrors. It features an island, lily pads, and bays, and most of the lake is shallow with either a clay or silty bed. The deepest section goes down to 6 feet. This fishery is well-managed, with measures such as insisting on barbless hooks and unhooking mats to ensure the fish are in superb condition. To avoid overcrowding and allow anglers to move freely, only five anglers are permitted per day despite having ten pegs.
What size do the fish go to?
The carp in this fishery are growing fast and currently the lake record stands at 15lb. In addition to carp, there is a good population of Tench up to 5lb, Bream up to 3lb, Crucians, Roach, Rudd, Perch, and Chub.
What tactics work well?
Given the variety of species and features of the lake, a mix of tactics would work well at Fall Birch Lodge. Tailoring tactics to target specific species such as carp, tench, and bream could provide rewarding results.
What facilities are on site?
The lodge offers several facilities for anglers’ convenience. It’s easily accessible down a single track road and offers parking right next to the water on the right-hand side. There is a portable toilet on site and if ordered in advance, tackle and bait can be delivered right to your peg. For added security, the lodge is fenced all the way around with a locked gate.
Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available at the fishery. Anglers can park next to the water, making access to the fishing spot very convenient.
