Shakerley Mere is based in the picturesque market town of Knutsford and is 17 acres of prime fishing water run by the good people at Lymm Angling Club. You can stay on the water for 72 hours if you are a member and 48 hours if you’re not.

Tabley Mere

The second on our Cheshire meres list is Tabley Mere. Tatton Mere

The natural beauty of Tatton Park is a fantastic setting for landing carp that are as much as 57 pounds. Sir Humphry Repton designed this venue and is popular purely for pleasure anglers and carp anglers. It is a true specimen carp lake and also one of the nicest Cheshire fishing lakes.

Moore Quarry

Moore Quarry sits next to Manchester Ship Canal, just outside the pretty town of Moore, and it is a stunning lake. Warrington Anglers Association manages it and is a members-only venue with clear waters that, at their deepest, are as much as 40 feet deep. This can be challenging to fish on. If you take on the challenge, though, the largest carp weighs over 30 pounds and more. Night fishing is allowed here, but it is members-only water run by Warrington Anglers and its worth joining to fish one of the best Cheshire fisheries.

Partridge Lakes Fishery (Day Ticket Fishing Cheshire)

Found in Warrington, the premier coarse fishery at Partridge Lakes has 70 acres of amazing Cheshire countryside as its backdrop. This would be the one recommended fishery in Cheshire that I would say you have to try. In the 15 different, individually landscaped waters are 394 pegs ideal for pleasure anglers, specimen anglers, club match anglers, and open match anglers of all levels and abilities. These are heavily stocked lakes, and it is probably the commercial fishery in Cheshire. The main carp lake is called Holbar, which can get very popular at the weekends, but day tickets are available 7 days a week. It’s the ideal venue to get into fishing for all ages.

For exciting day ticket Cheshire fishing lakes, Warrington location Partridge Lakes Fishery has plenty of golden tench, ide, tench, barbel, rudd, perch, roach, bream, chub, and mirror carp. It is also well known for being an F1 venue, a fish crossed with a normal carp and a crucian carp.

Cheshire Fishing

Situated in the peaceful and attractive Chester, Cheshire Fishing is a superb complex that offers some of the best day-ticket fishing North West. Both match and coarse fishing can be enjoyed here.

Meadow View Fisheries

Located in Lymm, Meadow View Fisheries is one of the best commercial fisheries in Cheshire. There are two main fishing lakes on-site, Lark and Linnet. Lark is the site’s specimen lake designed for and designated for the more experienced anglers. The water is split into two sides and features ten fishing pegs for day ticket carp fishing in Cheshire and six double night fishing pegs, while Linnet is perfect for anglers interested in landing 20-pounders.

Border Fisheries

The Border Fisheries Complex is managed by Bay Malton Angling Club and located in the idyllic town of Crewe, Border Fisheries is an excellent spot for anglers of all experience levels and skills to try. With 7 waters, you will find perch weighing more than 4 pounds, tench around the 5-pound mark, and carp weighing well over 20 pounds. It is a disabled-friendly fishery with one lake having paths and platforms suitable for wheelchair fishing. Always check the availability, as match anglers use some lakes during the weekend.

Hampton Springs

Hampton Springs Fishery is a well-maintained and popular angling destination in the picturesque Cheshire countryside in Hampton, near Malpas. This fishery offers a range of coarse and carp fishing opportunities across eight beautifully landscaped and well-stocked lakes, catering to anglers of all skill levels and preferences. This is a great day ticket fishing Cheshire venue.

River Fishing

In Cheshire, river fishing can be a captivating experience due to the variety of waterways available. The River Dee offers excellent angling opportunities near Chester city centre, providing easy access to bountiful coarse and game fishing. The River Mersey, stretches near the weir in Victoria Park and in Woolston, Warrington are popular angling spots. Despite its industrial past, the Mersey has made an impressive recovery and now offers good fishing.

It also has diverse species like dace, roach, perch, eels, trout, grayling, bream, pike, and carp. Anglers can enjoy fishing on the right-hand bank, looking down from the A556 bridge to the viaduct and double-bank fishing from the viaduct down to the bridge on the A5509. Convenient parking is available at the memorial hall car park or Dane Valley.
