Follyfoot is extremely popular with carp anglers, many claiming that it is one of the top carp lakes in the UK right now. The average carp in this lake isn’t massive, but there are some monsters hiding in the deep.
What size do the fish go to?
Follyfoot has mirror, common, koi and ghost carp, most of which are in the double figures. The double-figure carp in this lake love to be caught. There is also a good head of mid-twenties that come out often too. However, there are a few much larger carp in this lake that are a lot harder to catch. Bring your A-game to this lake if you’re going for the big ones.
What tactics work well?
Most carp fishing tactics work very well on this lake. A few singles targeting showing fish in the morning can get you an early bite. Then you can find a clear area for the evening.
