In a tranquil location in rural Yorkshire is Forest Lane Fishery, where you will find a mixed stock in a lake that is popular with all ages and levels of experience. The usual coarse fish are here – carp, bream, tench and roach – but unusually you may also catch koi, goldfish and pink and blue orfe.
Easy to find despite its remote location, Forest Lane Fishery is a well-managed water with excellent facilities and welcomes match bookings.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp in the late 20lb bracket have been caught at Forest Lane, there are known to be 8lb tench in the lake, and large goldfish of up to a 1lb.
What facilities are on site?
Forest Lane is a well-maintained fishery with the facilities you would expect from such an amenity. On weekend mornings there is a café on site that serves a breakfast and a selection of hot sandwiches. There are separate male and female toilet blocks.
