Fishery Information
Situated in a stunning location near Ellel, Lancashire, Forrest Hills Fly Fishery offers both lake and river fly fishing to the novice and more seasoned angler. The 4-acre venue is calm and peaceful, with spacious pegs being provided across the water. Furthermore, all pegs have been designed with the disabled and elderly angler in mind. The depth of the water ranges between 3 and 18ft and the site is home to a healthy selection of Trout.
As well as being a common site for the keen angler, Forrest Hills has proven to be popular for corporate training days and family outings.
What size do the fish go to?
The waters are stocked fortnightly with Rainbow Trout averaging at around 2lbs. It is also not uncommon for the odd Blue and Brown Trout to be landed within the region of 4-8lbs.
What tactics work well?
Worms, halibut and sweetcorn tend to be effective baits. The location also provides tuition for the less seasoned fisherman.
What facilities are on site?
The venue prides itself on being wheelchair friendly and accessible to the disabled and elderly. There are ample clean and accessible toilet facilities.
