Located just outside the charming and idyllic village of Tansley and 3 miles outside Matlock, Foxholes Lake is situated in the Derbyshire Dales and has fantastic views over the local countryside. Boasting 10 unique pegs that fish well, this water is home to mirror carp, common carp, ghost carp, grass carp, barbel, golden tench, green tench and roach.
Another amazing thing that makes this place worth visiting is their food delivery service. You can order snacks and drinks and have them delivered to your peg by the host. They also have a bait shop on site that sells a good variety of bait, tackle and rods. You can also rent some fishing equipment for a small fee.
If you are looking to improve your angling skills, the host can give you fishing lessons that are tailored to your ability and requirements. At present, he offers a 3-hour lesson which include rods, tackle and bait for a reasonable price and then you can fish for the remainder for the day free of charge.
They also have 2 apartments that are available for rent. If you stay in one of these accommodations, you will be allowed to fish for free.

Carp go up to 20 lbs, tench to 6 lbs and chub to 2 lbs.
